Debra Moore

As a former educator of 18 years and an EMDR trained therapist, Debra has vast experience and training in helping individuals, families, children, adolescents, and couples navigate life’s challenges and past traumas which often manifest as depression and/or anxiety. Debra is excellent at EMDR…which is a cutting-edge, and highly tested technique which uses neuropsychological and structural components of the brain to treat trauma, depression, complex anxiety and a number of other severe issues. She has helped countless clients walk through their traumas and life struggles with this technique.

Debra has two children; her son is in the entertainment industry and her daughter followed her passion into mental health as an ABA therapist.

Debra is a certified Counselor who holds a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Anxiety

We can help you uncover the underlying causes of your worries and fears, learn how to relax, and develop healthier coping mechanisms and problem-solving skills. Essentially, therapy gives you the necessary tools to overcome anxiety and teaches you how to use them.

Adolescents and Children

We use a variety of techniques and methods to help children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties with their emotions, behavior and relationships. Although there are different types of psychotherapy, each relies on communications as the basic tool for bringing about change in a person’s feelings and behaviors.

Anger

Anger is a secondary emotion, it stems from some other emotion being triggered like pain, sadness, loneliness, fear, etc. We will help you recognize what triggers your anger and identifying how you normally respond to such triggers. Then we help you learn new ways to respond to anger. This type of therapy may also be helpful in treating anger that’s caused by emotional trauma.

EMDR

EMDR is a highly effective, evidence-based type of therapy for processing traumas or distressing life events including PTSD. EMDR targets the distress and symptoms associated with it, utilizing your brain’s natural healing tendencies.

Depression

Depression isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s not something you can just “snap out of.” It’s an illness that requires professional treatment. We can help you with the right care, people can feel better.
